Who we are

BearBytes is a business consultancy based in the West Midlands. You can reach us at hello@bearbytes.co.uk or on 01384 906104.

What we collect

When you send us a message through the Let's talk form, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you choose to share it, your business name and what you tell us about your business.

When you run the free website check, we collect the website address you enter. An email address is required to see the report: we email you the report, with notes on what to fix first. Your name and phone number are optional.

When you book a chat, the booking is handled by Calendly, who collect the details you enter on their form. Calendly's own privacy notice applies to that booking.

We also record anonymous analytics events — for example which pages are visited and which tools are tried — so we can see what is useful and what is not.

How we use it

We use what you send us to reply to you, prepare for a conversation and carry out any work we agree together.

We only send follow-up tips if you tick that box, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

If you tick the WhatsApp box, we may message you on WhatsApp, which is run by Meta.

We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Who else sees it

Your details are stored in our systems and our email provider so we can reply to you. Calendly handles booking details as described above. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details while we are talking with you and for a sensible period afterwards, in case you come back to us. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we handle them. To ask us anything, email hello@bearbytes.co.uk.
