Procurement and operations

Choose suppliers on more than the price.

What you buy and how you buy it shapes your margins and your lead times. We help you see your spending clearly, compare suppliers fairly and build a routine that holds.

Sound familiar?

Where buying goes wrong.

  • Prices creep up and nobody has time to check them.
  • Our orders live in inboxes, spreadsheets and one person’s head.
  • We took the cheapest quote, then waited weeks for it.
  • Nobody is quite sure who can approve what.

What changes

What could change.

  • A clear picture of what you buy, from whom and why.
  • Supplier options compared on specification, lead time and total cost.
  • A purchasing routine with clear approvals that does not depend on one person.
  • Fewer surprises on lead times, minimum orders and delivery charges.

Possibilities we work towards with you, not promised results.

An example

Comparing three quotes on more than price

We only publish client work with permission. Ask us for relevant examples in a meeting. How we work

Illustrative example

Made up to show the kind of change. It is not a client story.

A business receives three quotes for the same material. The cheapest has a longer lead time and higher delivery charges. Setting the quotes side by side, with specification, lead time and total delivered cost, makes the trade-off visible so the owner can decide with the full picture.

How it works

How we work through it with you.

  1. Step 1: Look at what you buy

We review your main purchases, suppliers and the way orders are placed and approved.

  2. Step 2: Agree priorities

We agree which categories matter most and what a better outcome looks like for you.

  3. Step 3: Compare and support

Where it helps, we find alternatives, compare like for like and support conversations with suppliers.

  4. Step 4: Make it repeatable

We set up a simple process and record of decisions, then stay involved while it beds in.

Scope and price

What is included, and what it costs.

The scope is agreed after a meeting and written into your proposal before you commit. All final quotes follow a meeting.

Usually included

  • Spend and supplier review
  • Requirements and specification checks
  • Like-for-like supplier comparisons
  • Approval and ordering process
  • Operational workflow review

Proposed inclusions until your written proposal confirms them.

Not included, or needs checking

  • Placing orders or committing to suppliers on your behalf
  • Legal review of supplier contracts
  • Any commission or share of savings: work is priced up front
  • Systems or software, unless scoped as a separate project

Anything here can be scoped and quoted separately.

Quote required

Quoted after a meeting

The price depends on how many categories and suppliers are involved, the state of your current records and how much ongoing support you want.

  • No fixed tiers: the price follows the agreed scope.
  • Scope, price and term in writing before you commit.

Questions

Practical questions.

Something not covered here? Book a chat

Do you take a cut of any savings?

No. Work is scoped and priced after a meeting, so you know the cost up front.

Can you guarantee lower prices?

No one honestly can. We show you what we find and what it is likely to be worth, and you decide.

Will you change our suppliers?

Changing supplier is your decision. We give you a clear comparison and support whichever route you choose.

Do we need new software to buy this way?

No. Many businesses start with a clear comparison and an agreed approval path. A system only comes in if it clearly helps, and it is scoped as a separate project.

What happens to my answers in the supplier comparison?

They stay on this page unless you send the form or book a chat, when they travel with your message. Otherwise we only see, without your name, that the comparison was used.

Ask us

Ask about your buying.

Tell us a little about what you buy and how. If you compared suppliers above, the result comes with your message. A person reads every message and replies by email to arrange a chat.

Next step

Let’s talk about what you buy.

Bring one category that costs you the most time or money. We will say plainly what we would compare first, how approvals could work and how the work would be scoped and quoted.
